Welcome!

Welcome Everyone! I am new to blogging but it is important to me that this blog is a reflection of my personality and my struggle to meet my personal goals. My name is Ashley Jones. For the next year I will be a student at Year Up Bay Area, attending classes in Professional Skills, Business Communications and Information Technology all in hopes to land an internship at one of the top corporations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Each course I take at Year Up will be a challenge, by setting goals for myself I will be holding myself accountable for my own success. In my Professional skills class I hope to learn the expectations of corporate America like the back of my hand. I want to impress people with my professional skills wherever I go, from job interviews to holiday parties. My goal for Business Communications is to fine tune my writing skills and grammar, and also introduce new vocabulary into my speech. And, my goal for Information Technology class is to learn to speak like a technology professional. Additionally, I am so excited to learn about computer hardware.

At Year Up in every passing week a small goal is reached, through this blog I plan to document each week with highlights of the roadblocks I encounter, and inspiring moments that keep me pushing towards the finish line - graduation.

One Love,

Love Jones
